Eradicating hepatitis C by 2030 is a strategic priority for the World Health Organization. To this end, Greece has developed a National Action Plan to eradicate the disease. In this context, and in order to increase the rate of diagnosis of the disease, the measure of 'automatic alert' in e-prescribing has been implemented for all persons born between 1945 and 1980, who are considered to belong to a high-risk group for hepatitis C virus infection.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the above measure in primary care practices. The study is coordinated by the 4th Department of Internal Medicine and the Laboratory of Primary Health Care, General Medicine and Health Services Research of the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the support of AUTH.PHC.RN.
