The Association for Research and Education in Clinical Skills (ARECS) was founded in 2015 by the founding members of the Laboratory of Clinical Skills and Simulation Center of the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The purposes of the Association are:

  • Research in the field of modern educational process for learning clinical skills, implementation and evaluation of innovative medical education frameworks
  • Research in the field of Primary Health Care and General/ Family Medicine
  • The training of students of the Schools of Health Sciences in clinical skills (technical and non-technical skills)
  • The continuing education of health professionals in matters of education and research
  • The design and organization of seminars on research methodology and the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes based on scientifically documented practices
  • The publication of audio-visual educational materials related to Primary Health Care and skills to support interdisciplinary education and research

The Association for Research and Education in Clinical Skills aims to provide training in skills necessary for clinical practice and research in Primary Health Care in issues that concern the scientific community for advance health care.
