Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre (CSSC)

Systematic training in clinical skills at the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki started in 2004 with the introduction of the elective course Clinical Skills Laboratory.

In 2015, the Clinical Skills Research and Education Society was established to support undergraduate and postgraduate - continuing interdisciplinary education and training in clinical skills. Until 2019, clinical skills training was hosted in the Regular Outpatient Clinics of the AHEPA General Hospital and in the premises of the Primary Health Care, General Medicine and Health Services Research Laboratory.

Thanks to funding from the Interreg Greece-Bulgaria programme (SMiLE programme), clinical skills training has found its own home from June 2020 with the creation of a modern Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre within the building of the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The space is fully accessible to people with disabilities.
