Colorectal cancer is the 2nd cause of death due to cancer and the 3rd cause of cancer in Greece (with an incidence of 10.2% in 2018). Screening in Greece is not carried out as part of an organised programme, but is done opportunistically, and there are no published studies investigating why colorectal cancer screening rates in Greece are low. This study aims to investigate GPs' beliefs about colorectal cancer screening, their attitudes and their perception of their role in promoting screening in the general population.
